No accounts, no saved charts, no third-party analytics. Item by item:
Your birth details
Used to cast your chart at that moment, then dropped. This site writes them to no database and no file. When you cast a chart from the main form, they travel in the body of the request, not in the web address — so they do not end up in the address bar, your browser history or our host's access logs. A few pages do put them in the address: the day-master page (the date only), the two-chart comparison, and the links that carry a chart from one page to another, such as "See the full chart" and "all twelve hours". Those addresses can be bookmarked and shared, and when one is used the details end up in your browser history, in any link you share, and in our hosting company's standard access logs, which record every address requested and are kept under the host's own retention settings. This site does not read or export those logs.
This site's own visit log
Each page view adds one line: which page (everything after the ? in the address is always cut off, so no birth details), which site you came from, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, whether you read it in English or Chinese, and whether a birth was entered on that visit — yes or no, never what. There is also a visitor code, made from your network address and browser mixed with a random value that changes every day, so today's visitor cannot be matched to tomorrow's and the code cannot be turned back into an address. Bots are not logged. These lines are kept as one plain file per day on this site's own server and are not shared with anyone.
Third parties
No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, and no ads. If ads are ever added, this page changes first. When you follow a link out to a source text — Wikisource, ctext and the rest — your browser tells that site only that you came from mingpan.co, not the address of the page you were on.
Cookies
One, and only if you switch language by hand: it remembers whether you chose English or Chinese. Nothing else.
Feedback
The feedback form — below, and at the foot of the chart pages — stores what you write and whatever contact you choose to leave. It does not carry your birth details.

Say something back
Every reading here traces to a named text, and that much a machine can check. Whether any of it reads well is not something a machine can check — only a person can. If a passage made no sense, or read badly, or sounded like nonsense, say so plainly.
This form does not carry your birth details. What is stored is your message, whatever contact you chose to give, the page path with everything after the question mark cut off, and a visitor hash whose salt rotates daily — nothing tied to a chart, and nothing reversible to a person.
