Yin Fire Pig (Ding Hai, 丁亥) day pillar
A Yin Fire day master, the Candle, sitting on the Pig.
Your day pillar is the pair of characters for the day you were born. The top one, the stem, is your day master — you. The bottom one, the branch, is what it sits on. The sixty pillars come round in turn, one a day, so about one person in sixty was born on a Ding Hai day.

Ox hour 01:00–03:00 · Yin Metal Ox (Xin Chou, 辛丑)
spring, Direct Resource (印绶), favourable; born in autumn with Fire qi also favourable; summer, too strong, ill; winter, officer and Killings (煞) strong, favourable. Goat (未) and Dog (戌) months clashing open the Ox (丑) vault, wealthy.

Tiger hour 03:00–05:00 · Yang Water Tiger (Ren Yin, 壬寅)
the Noble Day (日贵) pattern, matched with Water Tiger (壬寅) — officer and Resource (印) both complete, the writing conspicuous. A Rat (子) month, greatly noble; the transformed qi, ill.

Rabbit hour 05:00–07:00 · Yin Water Rabbit (Gui Mao, 癸卯)

Goat hour 13:00–15:00 · Yin Fire Goat (Ding Wei, 丁未)
a Rabbit (卯) month, the triad binding a Resource (印) frame, noble and long-lived; Monkey (申), wealth and officer strong; Pig (亥), the officer strong — both favourable. Born in summer the Yin Fire (丁) has qi, a Confucian office, though solitude and poverty are not escaped.

Monkey hour 15:00–17:00 · Yang Earth Monkey (Wu Shen, 戊申)

Rooster hour 17:00–19:00 · Yin Earth Rooster (Ji You, 己酉)
halting and stuck. If Yang Earth (戊), Yin Earth (己), Yang Fire (丙) or Yin Fire (丁) stand in year or month, he dwells close to the throne with authority. Rabbit (卯), Yang Wood (甲), Yin Wood (乙) and Tiger (寅) with a northwestern period, noble.

The day pillar is one of Fire Rooster (丁酉), Fire Pig (丁亥), Water Snake (癸巳) or Water Rabbit (癸卯). The work adds that it most fears punishment, clash, breaking and harm; that part is not judged here.
日贵者何？即甲戊兼牛羊之类。止有四日：丁酉、丁亥、癸巳、癸卯耳；最怕刑冲破害。
The ten unpardonable days
The day pillar is one of the ten whose prosperity star (禄) falls in its own decade's Void (空亡). The passage is explicit that it is not simply bad — 况犯者未必皆凶，若内有吉神相扶，贵气相辅，当为吉论 — so it is reported and not graded.
