The ten gods of BaZi (Shi Shen, 十神)
The ten gods are the relationships between your day master — the element of the day you were born — and every other character in your chart. Two things decide which: how the two elements relate (same, the day master produces it, controls it, is controlled by it, or is produced by it), and whether they share a polarity. Five relations times two polarities make ten.
